This piece was taken at the Oak Alley plantation in Southern Louisiana. This image was created because I was struck by the juxtaposition of the fern in the fore ground with the massive oak tree in the background. Like the other image in this set from Oak Alley, this was taken with my Nikon 8008s, and 35mm Fuji Velvia film. This piece was also originally a color piece but was changed to black and white because it was more striking with the contrast in black and white.
